This event will be open to the public, with a $5 door fee. Competition is limited to students of Karate for Kids, but spectators are welcome. Students will compete in traditional forms competition, free sparring, and weapons demonstrations. “The Karate for Kids program is designed to build the confidence of each child and to inspire each student to do their best, to perform at 100% all the time. The focus of our tournament is to provide a positive environment to introduce our students to competition, and help them develop a sense of fair play and sportsmanship.” said Toby Milroy, Chief Instructor of the Orange City Location. “We have 3 locations in Volusia County, and we take this time to get together and build the camaraderie between students. This tournament reinforces our concept of “every kid is a winner” by teaching our students that by doing your personal best, you won.” The Karate for Kids system is a very popular program for children and adults. The school provides professional instruction in the art of Songahm Taekwondo. They offer specialized classes for several age groups.
